Resumen
In the present paper we make a synthetical review of the investigations undertaken to find out the structure, biology and parasitism of Zygocotyle lunatum (Diesing, 1835) Stunkard, 1916; we register the third case of parasitism of this Trematode in cattle and give a new area of its distribution. According to the, observations made by Diesing, Hall, Price and ourselves, we may infer that this Trematode may live as parasite in birds and herbivorous mammals, but most specially in aquatic birds. This, we consider as most interesting fact because it proves that a parasite can adapt itself to hosts of different classes, and that its specificness is only partial, a very important fact in the explanation of the presence of the parasite in different hosts, including man.
