Resumen

In this paper the description is given of a new species of Longistriata: Longistriata convoluta similar in many aspects to L. adunca Chandler, 1932, from which differs, however, in the absence of gubernaculum and telamon and in the smaller size of the spicules. lt also differs from L. norwegica Dikmans, 1935, in the structure of the tips of the spicules and from the species L. nematoderiformis (Travassos, 1918), L. beta (Travassos, 1918), L. gamma (Travassos, 1918) and L. delta (Travassos, 1918) in the structure and directlon of the rays of the male bursa; its main differences with the last mentioned brazilian species are also the size of the spicules and the position of the vulva.
