Resumen

Five cases of predation on bats are given, two of which are instances in which small carnivores, a skunk and a ringtail cat, prey on bats caught in mist nets. The next three cases are of snakes preying on bats in caves.
The predation of small carnivores on bats may help explain, in part, the problem of the cicle that rabies virus undergoes to reach the city dog. Their imporlance and their relations to rabies infection is discussed in the work.
The three cases of reptiles preying on vampire bats of the Species Desmodus rotundus murinus and Diphylla ecaudata centralis have not been recorded before in the literature.
