MONOGENOS DE PECES. IV. DESCR.IPCION DE BRAVOCOTYLE SANBLASENSIS GEN. NOV., SP. NOV. (DICLIDOPHORIDAE) PARASITO DE LAS BRANQUIAS DE CYNOSCION XANTHULUS (SCIAENIDAE) DE LA COSTA PACIFICA MEXICANA

RESUMEN
Se describen en este trabajo un género y una especie nuevos de Diclidophoridae (Monogenea):
Bravo·cotyle sanblasensis gen. nov., sp. nov. Parásito en los arcos branquiales de Cynoscion
xan,thulus; capturado en San Bias, Nayarit, en la costa del Pacífico mexicano. Se discuten los
caracteres de géneros que pertenecen a la subfamilia. Diclidophori.nae ( Cerfontaine, 1895) Yamaguti,
1963 y se compara con ellos el nuevo aquí creado; se propone además una clave para
determinar los géneros de la subfamilia Diclidophorí,nae, incluyendo dentro de éstos al género
Echinope/ma Raecke, 1945, que había sido incluido antes en la subfamilia Choricoty linae.
SUMMARY
In this paper I describe a new genus and species of Diclidophoridae (Monogena) Bravocotyle
sanblasemis gen. nov., sp. nov., parasite in the branchial archs of Cynoscion xanthulus, captured
in San Bias Nayarit, in the Pacific Coast of México.
It is compared with the genern of the subfamily Diclidophorinae (Cerfontaine, 1895)
Yamaguti, 1963, and I propose a key far all genera of this subfamily.
I proposed too, include in this subfamily the genus Echinopelma Raecke, 1943 considered
befare in the subfamily Choricotylinae.
The new genus is dedicated to Miss M en C Margarita Bravo-Hollis in acknowledgment
to her great labor in the field of the Helminthology in México.
