NUEVAS APORTACIONES A LA FAUNA NEOTROPICAL DE LEPIDOPTEROS DE MEXICO (LEP. SPHINGIDAE Y SA TURNIIDAE)

RESUMEN
Se dan a conocer por primera vez para la fauna neotropical de lepidópteros dt: México, dos
especies de Sphingidae y tres de Saturniidae encontradas en la localidad de el cerro El Vô€„²gía,
en la Sierra de los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. Se señala además Ja importancia faunística <le las cinco
e.pecies.
SUMMARY
Two species of Springidae and three of Saturniidae are recorded for the first time in the
neotropical Lepidoptera fauna, of México. They were found on the Jocality of the cerro El
Vi gía belonging to the Sierra dt: los Tuxtlas, Veracruz. The faunistic importance of tht:se five
species is discussed.
