Resumen

The trematodes encountered in 28 specimens of Basiliscus vittatus Wiegmann from Tabasco, Mexico are reported and discussed. Parallopharynx arctus Caballero, 1946 is redescribed and the generic diagnosis is emended. A new genus and species of Styphlodorinae is described from the oral cavity of the Basilisk lizard.
