HIRUDINEOS DEL VALLE DEL MEZQUITAL, HGO XII

Resumen

Our abundant material of Hirudinea collected and carefully studied have
facilitated the revision of the descriptions of Hirudinea which we had formerly
placed under the Genus Lirnnobdella. We have considered that the constant
presence of some characters as the structure of the first somites, the number
of the teeth and the characters of sorne internal organs, afford enough details
to make a new Genus, Pintobdella, which we have dedicated to the distinguished
brazilian parasitologist Doctor Cesar Pinto.
The species placed under the Genus Pintobdella are: Pintobdella tehuacanea,
Pintobdella olivaceae and Pintobdella cajali.
