PARASITOS INTESTINALES EN LOS NIá‘OS DE ACTOPAN, HIDALGO.

Resumen
The parasitological analysis of the stools of the school children of the town of Actopan, Hidalgo, revealed that 15% have been parasitized with Hymenolepis nana; 1% with Taenia solium ; 4% with Taenia saginata ; 1% with Fasciola hepatica; 23% with Ascaris lumbricoides; 15% with Trichuris trichiura; 2% with Enterobius vermicularis; 63% with Entamoeba coli; 1% with Entamoeba hystolitica; 1% with Iodamoeba; 4% with Giardia intestinalis and 35 % with several flagellates.
The main interest derived frorn these investigations is that we have found Fasciola hepatica parasitic in man; before this finding, in Mexico, we had only considered it as a parasite of domestic animals.
