Resumen

The Gordiacea is represented in Mexico by three genera: Gordius, Paragordius and Chordodes. The species of Gordius mentioned in this paper are Gordius villoti and Gordius robustus; one species of Paragordius, Paragordius varius and four of genus Chordodes, Chordodes dugesi, Chordodes griffinii, Chordodes occidentalis and Chordodes nietoi n. sp.
The geographical distribution of Paragordius varius is very wide. It occurs from the northern states to the eastern regions of the country.
A new species of Chordodes is described in this article. It differs from Chordodes dugesi, Chordodes griffinii and Chordodes occidentalis by the presence of cuticular areoles and by the shape of the caudal end of the male.
