Resumen

In the oviducts of Querquedula cyanoptera and Q. discors, anseriform birds, four specimens of the genus Prosthogonimus were found, two of which were identified as Prosthogonimus rudolphii Skrjabin, 1919, and the two others as P. karausiaki Layman,
1926.
According to Witenberg and Eckman, P. karausiaki must be considered as an "inquerenda" species, because Layman's description was based on a single, shrunk, specimen. The above mentioned authors consider it as P. rudolphii and think that because of its shrinking, the body and the inner organs have been modified and reduced. Notwithstanding these facts we give the separte description of the two species found.
