Resumen

The present paper contains new locality records for species of Ayenia from Mexico, Central America and Colombia. Cleistogamous flowers are reported for the first time in A. fructicosa. A. mirandae nov. sp. is described from the Cañón del Zapilote, Guerrero, México, belongs to Leiayenia.
