A NORTHERN RECORD FOR CENTRONYCTERIS MAXIMILIANI CENTRALIS WITH A KEY TO THE SKULLS OF THE NORTH AMERICAN EMBALLONURINE BATS

Resumen

The emballonurid bat, Centronycteris maximiliani centralis Thomas, according to Sanborn (Field Mus. Nat. Hist., Zool. Ser., v. 20, pp. 338-339, December 28, 1937 and v. 27, p. 372, December 8, 1941) was previously known only from single specimens from seven localities in Central and South America. 
The specimen, no. 32088, University of Kansas, Museum of Natural History,  is the first record for the Republic
of Mexico, a northernmost record for the genus and, so far as is known, the eighth specimen of the subspecies C. m. centralis.
